I just loved that the movie added something more to the novel, with the music and the little touches here and there (my favorite part is when Lizzie walks around the greek statues room and her eyes lay on the statue with the veil on and I thought that it was such a beautiful analogy). What a timeless movie
- I was lost a bit while watching this movie for the first time- I had never read Pride and Prejudice or seen the Colin Firth Vernon. (I did see another modern adaption/twist), After reading (many times) and watching the others (many times) I have parts of each I prefer. Considering how much material had to be condensed they are all amazing !
- Incidentally, the scene at dawn that Matthew McFaddyen refers to in the clip is my favourite. I loved his portrayal of Mr. Darcy, and when I first saw the film I thought he was one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen on the screen.
- I love this movie so much! My mom doesn’t speak English, but she watched this movie with me several times, and every time she cries at this scene. So do I ! The best Mr. Darcy ever!
I have watched this version so many times! It never grows old. Love Matthew and Keira as Mr. Darcy and Lizzie. I love the ending with Darcy walking to Lizzie….now that I know he didn’t know where he was headed, that’s kind of funny.
