This study aims to determine the aptitude of green open space that exists, particularly in the capability of bushes and shrubs in absorbing carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions generated by motor automobiles operating in Balai Kota Makassar. The research is qualitative. All knowledge required for the evaluation of the research are primary information or knowledge obtained instantly within the subject. Primary data in this research are knowledge obtained by counting the number of autos and the realm cover by vegetation canopy. In this research, zonation system is utilized as a result of each area has totally different green open house requirement based on the emission load generated by motor automobiles passing within the space so that the research location is divided into four zones. To calculate the car’s emission, it applies the equation of emission energy, and to calculate the emission absorption by vegetation is use vegetations area covers. The outcomes showed in zones 1, zone and zone three, green open house existing already can absorb a hundred% carbon dioxide emissions and carbon monoxide. But in zone 4, green open space current can’t take in 1% carbon dioxide emissions and carbon monoxide. One of the environmental air pollution of the waters is brought on by the disposal of commercial liquid waste that has not been treated properly. The solution to overcome this problem is controlling the processing of business wastewater to provide an excellent effluent, secondary treatment is the guts of wastewater remedy.
