The cat’s eyes also have one more word that helps them see better at night. A New York Times article explains:
Cats have elliptical pupils that can open and close very quickly and have an area larger than the round pupil of the human eye. In addition, cats and some nocturnal animals have a mirror membrane behind their eyes, which helps to focus light on the phytoplasmic cells behind them in the opposite direction. This “double exposure” ability allows cats to see well even in almost no light.
Let’s say that cats can look “better” because they can do that in some way. That means their eyes (just their eyes) have evolved “beyond”. But dogs can smell better than we do. The same goes for bees and mice. Cheetahs run faster, birds “fly better” and elephants kick in stronger. Are they also sent by aliens? If a species has a distinct ability, it is humans, with “giant” brains, three times as large as most organisms in nature. I mean, to talk about the one thing most closely related to aliens, it is us.
