Archaeologists have seen two skeletons in a hugging and kissing position with the part of one hand touching the other’s cheek. People have given this photo the name: “Kiss 2800 years”. Although many sources claim that these two skeletons belonged to two men, according to the book “Culture and social institutions in ancient Iran” by Muhammad A. Dandamaev, Vladimir G. Lukonin, Philip. L. Kohl, published by Cambridge University, these two skeletons belong to a couple of men and women (woman on the left).
Many archaeological magazines also identified this as a man and woman couple and gave more information about the height of the two.
When discovered, two skeletons were found in the barrel and nothing around. The only thing that caught their attention was a stone under the head of the skeleton on the left. Many sources claim that this skeleton is dated to 6000 years. In fact, archaeologists studying the skeleton say it is only 2800 years old. The team from the University of Pennsylvania also thinks that these two people died around 800 BC.
