義 (Gi – Justice): Japanese samurai always put honor and self-esteem above money, self-control, do not let tempting lust down, the spirit of being against everything evil, cruel force.
仁 (Jin – Kindness): a true samurai is someone with great tolerance. The benevolence of a samurai can be shown in many different ways, but the culmination of benevolence is the forgiveness of his enemies.
勇 (Yu – Courage): The samurai are always the bravest people and consider death very gentle. They have always believed that “a meaningful death, rather than a meaningless life”. It is this courage that makes samurai many people think of the brilliant but short image of cherry blossoms.
礼 (Ray – Respect): the samurai always have the mind “the highest politeness is respect”. Therefore, the samurai always show respect for everyone, including their enemies.
