“Trick Or Treat” This is the main activity for most children and teenagers in the United States on Halloween night.
“Trick” means: deceive, mischievous ghost game: “Treat” is to welcome, treat, treat. Children and teenagers, young people dressed up in demonic clothes and masks, then took lanterns from house to house in the neighborhood, knocking on the door and saying “trick or treat.” This sentence means: “If you want us not to do bad things, please treat us something.” Normally, the neighbors always wanted to avoid the “trick” which meant playing a trick, so they often treated them with candy and fruit (it is customary to have coins inside).
The main symbol of “Halloween” night is Jack’s lantern – “Jack-ó-lanterns.” The secondary symbols are witches, demons and black cats.
