Japan (1976-1977, 1987-2018). Japan was the first country in Asia to host an F1 race and has so far successfully hosted 34 events. As one of the last stages of the year, the Japanese Grand Prix played an important role in determining the throne at F1. As of the 2018 season, a total of 13 champions were named after finishing the race in the land of the rising sun.
Legendary Michael Schumacher (Germany) is the most winning racer at the Japanese Grand Prix with a total of six celebrating champagne. Meanwhile, the closest winner here is defending champion Lewis Hamilton (England).
Since 2009, the races in Japan have been held in Suzuka, on the island of Honshu.
