Researcher Sylvain Moreno thinks that learning music effects helps improve children’s ability to understand and interpret words.

The benefits of music on IQ
The great benefit of music for young children is an increase in IQ. Research shows that if children learn music, they will have higher academic performance. So, to help your child have a better record, encourage them to learn to play an instrument or to learn to sing.
In a study of 6-year-olds, children who learned to play the piano or to sing had a significantly higher increase in IQ than those who learned to play or not.
