Project Approach

There is no such thing as 'magic button'. Good design is a result of a process, starting from a simple phone call to the final scribe of signature on the sign-off paper. A two way collaboration between the designer and the client. Thus, we believe that a well-informed customer plays an important role to a successful design project. We believe that you should know the path of the road you are going to walk on.

As part of our services, this section will provide you with a more hands on understanding of how we are going to handle your design project.

Process of Project Approach Initial Meeting, Project Brief and Quotation
Initial meeting is the first stage where we gathered all necessary information from the client regarding the product the clients wants. From preferred colors and typefaces to technology involved and design style, we might ask many questions to ensure that the final product is exactly - hopefully more - like what the client expect to be. In addition to the information gathered from the client, we do small research about the client's line of business, design references and other things related to the successful of the project.

Based on the information gathered, we then make design mockups and present it to the client along with a Project Brief containing explanations of our design solutions, estimated time and pricing.

Design/Development, Progress Meetings and Revisions
After we get approval to the design mockup (possibly with some revisions here and there), professional service agreement is signed and down payment is made (usually 50% from project cost). Digitalgrafis will then start to do the actual designworks, constructing, adding and refining the product using variety of tools.

During the process, besides online progress report, client may want to have progress meeting to keep the project on-track and to eliminate biases of the project's scopes. If there are, small revisions can be made up to 3 times. In doing revisions, Digitalgrafis will always stick on the initial project specifications. Major changes outside the approved preliminary documents regretfully cannot be accomodated, except with separated agreements on cost and schedule.

Acceptance Test, Refinements, Delivery and Sign-off
Final refinements to ensure the final result is as expected will be made based on final testing and revisions. Including in this stage, Digitalgrafis will made documentation in Acrobat PDF or Microsoft Word format (if necessary) and make preparations for final delivery.

Delivery stage marked by the launching of the website or handing over the master CD-ROM or the printed documentation. This is the completion stage where final products are delivered to the client and administration things are completed. After that, sign-off marks an official closing of the project. However, usually Digitalgrafis will always be responsible and available within 1 (one) month period in case there are any additional revisions needs to be done on the final product.

Note:
Some exceptions may occur in relation with the type of design, eg: website design approach may slightly different to corporate identity design.
